Kola nuts.  Bitter, flavorless and packed with caffeine.  They sell them on the street for a 5 block coin (about 10 cents) as a "pick-me-up".

    I think I could use a few of those right now. THat miserable flu is back -- with both of us. I need something to pick me up.
